Could you please share information about what can and can't be recycled at Christmas? Is there different guidelines when it comes to recycling at Christmas (for example wrapping paper, tin baking trays)
Do you collect Christmas trees (meaning can your residents leave a Christmas tree next to the bin?)
If there are no specific recycling rules around Christmas, could you please share your generic recycling guidelines?
Details on what we can and can’t recycle are listed on our website. The link is https://www.scarborough.gov.uk/home/bins-waste-and-recycling/what-goes-my-bins There is no specific Christmas guidance for our residents, the only changes made relate to the day of collection following the Christmas Day and New Year Bank Holidays. Collection calendars are adjusted to these changes, and can be found at https://scarborough-self.achieveservice.com/service/bin_collection_calendar
We do not collect Christmas trees from residents. The civic amenity sites operated by North Yorkshire County Council will accept trees into their green waste skips.
