On 1 April the single new council for North Yorkshire launched replacing Scarborough Borough Council and other local authorites in North Yorkshire.

If you are using certain mobile phones or dialling from other European countries you may have to dial the number 112 (rather than 999) to contact these emergency services.

Scarborough & Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team (SRMRT)

SRMRT are responsible for carrying out this areas land search and rescue duties on behalf of North Yorkshire Police.

The team are funded solely by voluntary contributions. This service is provided free of charge and is available 24hrs a day 365 days a year. Visit the SRMRT website.
