Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner election
Four candidates will stand in the election for the North Yorkshire Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner, due to take place on Thursday 6 May.
Philip Allott from Knaresborough is standing as The Conservative Party candidate.
James Barker from York is standing as the Liberal Democrats candidate.
Alison Hume from York is standing as the Labour and Co-operative Party candidate.
Keith Tordoff from Harrogate is standing as an Independent candidate.
Anyone who wants to vote in the election and isn’t yet registered to vote, should register at gov.uk/register-to-vote by 11:59pm on Monday 19 April.
For those that are unable to attend a polling station or would prefer not to, the deadline to submit an application to register to vote by post is 5pm, Tuesday 20 April. More information about postal voting is available from our elections pages or by calling 01723 232323.
