Emeli – whose global hits include ‘Read All About It’, ‘Next To Me’, ‘My Kind of Love’ and ‘Clown’ – will play Scarborough Open Air Theatre on Thursday 5 July.

It is announced today that the disco legends will headline four UK seaside and stately home dates including a trip to Scarborough Open Air Theatre on Sunday 24 June.

A local authority senior manager has been recognised for excellent services to the Yorkshire Coast tourism industry at a special ceremony in Scarborough last weekend.

Janet Deacon, Tourism and Corporate Marketing Manager for Scarborough Borough Council and Area Director for regional tourism organisation, Welcome to Yorkshire, picked up the Tourism Award at the Scarborough Hospitality Association annual dinner dance at Scarborough Spa on Saturday 3 February.
