Nature reserve
- Wetland
- Bird hides
- Boardwalk
This area has some of the richest and most diverse flora and fauna in the whole of Filey. The Yorkshire Wildlife Trust manages the area, but the creation of this site and redesignation to nature reserve came about by the efforts of the Filey Brigg ornithological group.
In 1986 the area came under threat from housing developments, the group saw the value of the site and lobbied to keep it, which later resulted in the formation of the nature reserve.
