Holding an Event
COVID-19 Guidance for hosting your event safely (Summer 2021)
To hold an event on within the borough you need to apply via our online application form. We strongly recommended that you start planning your event at least six months in advance in order to allow sufficient time for the services to process your application and to contact the responsible authorities. You may wish to talk to somebody for advice before completing the online application form, you can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 01723 383636.
Paper applications will be accepted until 29/02/2020.
In order to assist with organising events, we have produced a guidance document the provides you with an overview of your duties and responsibilities.
Scarborough Borough Council Safety Advisory Group (SAG) acts as the focal point for event organisers, for specialist advice and guidance in relation to hosting an event. It has representatives from North Yorkshire County Council, North Yorkshire Police, Yorkshire Ambulance Service and North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue. The SAG will review event plans and offer suitable advice.
