Scarborough Borough Council organises and hosts a range of events throughout the year including Tour de Yorkshire, the annual Maritime Seafest, Food and Drink Festivals and Christmas Sparkle. We aim to balance the demand on the borough as a location for events alongside our commitment to residents, businesses, and visitors to ensure these activities continue to be safe, lawful, successful, and fair.
A full list of events taking place across the borough can be found on our tourism website, www.discoveryorkshirecoast.com
Holding an Event
To hold an event on Scarborough Borough Council land you need to apply to us. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 01723 383636 for an application form or to discuss dates and availability.
Scarborough Borough Council Safety Advisory Group (SAG) acts as the focal point for event organisers, for specialist advice and guidance in relation to hosting an event. It has representatives from North Yorkshire County Council, North Yorkshire Police, Yorkshire Ambulance Service and North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue. The SAG will review event plans and offer suitable advice.
