We are required to issue a formal decision notice on all planning applications. Notices should clearly state whether planning permission is granted or refused and should also provide the applicant with information on how to appeal any decision.
Statutory regulations require that the majority of planning applications are decided within 8 weeks. During this period, the case officer will visit the site, and consultations and notifications will be made.
Anyone contacted directly or indirectly by this process can make comments on the proposal. Normally 21 days are given to comment on applications.
The case officer will not usually be able to consider the application fully until the results of consultations and notifications are received. If revised plans are received it may be necessary to have an additional consultation period before a decision can be made.
Applications and their associated documentation can be viewed using our Public Access system - our online plannign register. Please click the blue button below.
