Northern Gas Networks

Planning a new extension, doing building work or making home improvements? You should check with Northern Gas Networks to see if your gas supply service needs altering prior to starting work. Building over an existing gas pipe contravenes gas industry codes of practice and means your build won't be compliant with pipeline safety regulations, potentially creating an unsafe situation.

Anyone who smells gas or suspects carbon monoxide should ring the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999. This line is in operation 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
