Open Air Theatre parking

Access to the Open Air Theatre from this Car Park is easy. The Theatre is a 10- 15 minute walk from Royal Albert Drive (20-30 minutes from Marine Drive) on flat ground, past the new Sands Development and the old Atlantis Pool to the main entrance of the Theatre. This route is recommended for those with a disability.

The Theatre can also be accessed from its second entrance from this car park by a slightly longer walk, approximately 20 minutes (from Royal Albert Drive), this entrance is less well known and can therefore be less busy. Walking from Royal Albert Drive/ Marine Drive continue walking along the North Bay Promenade past the Chalets. There is a junction in the path on the left hand side, follow this path to the Theatre. This path has a small incline and may therefore not be suitable for those who have walking difficulties.

When leaving the area, vehicles can turn right and follow the road around the sea front to join onto the A165 for Bridlington and Filey, the A64 for York and A170 for Thirsk. Vehicles can turn left for Whitby and all areas north of Scarborough. However we must advise that this route will mean you have to pass the main entrance of the Open Air Theatre, which may be congested as pedestrians leave the theatre.
