Statement of Accounts
The annual Statement of Accounts includes all of the financial statement and disclosures required by law and is published each year in line with the statutory reporting deadline of 31 May for the draft accounts and 31 July for the full audited accounts.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) has changed these deadlines for the 2021/22 Statement of Accounts to 31 July for the draft accounts and to 30 November for the full audited accounts.
To give local authorities more flexibility, the requirement for the public inspection to include the first 10 working days of June has been removed and instead local authorities must commence the public inspection on or before the first working day of August.
The Council’s Director and Section 151 Officer has now approved the publication of these draft accounts and they are currently subject to audit.
