About the vacancy
This is an exciting opportunity to join Scarborough Borough Council as a Regeneration Projects Officer, working with a team to coordinate projects aimed at improving the lives of local people and attracting investment into the area. We have an ambitious programme of projects to deliver and the role needs an enthusiastic person who is able to manage a varied work load, has the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, and who can understand the development opportunities for our towns.
The Regeneration Projects Officer will help develop, co-ordinate and assist in the successful delivery of high profile cultural, built heritage and town centre projects that will make a real difference to the local area. The role will involve working closely with other departments of the council, elected members and outside organisations, providing a day to day steer on project priorities and to develop, manage, monitor and evaluate a programme of regeneration activities that will transform our towns.
The ambitious programme of activities creates a fast paced environment and a successful candidate will enjoy varied and interesting workload. To be successful in this role you should be able to adapt to new challenges and to work with others to solve problems. You will be need to be motivated, organised, and able to plan and work to achieve targets. You will also need to have attention to detail, excellent IT skills and good communication abilities.
