About the vacancy
The Council are seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated people to work within the Whitby Pavilion Team, the venue being located on the busy West Cliff area of Whitby.
We are currently looking to appoint a Domestic General Services Assistant to help in the day-to-day running and delivery of the facilities, entertainments & functions provided by the Service and to ensure that the front line operation provides excellent customer service.
Reporting to the Venue Manager you will be primarily focused on delivering and maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the workplace, operating at all times within Health and Safety at work/COSHH legislation and current COVID-19 guidance. You will also be responsible for stock rotation/levels and monitoring of all cleaning materials and the receipt of any deliveries. Also required to assist in event set ups as required.
The applicant should have good customer service skills and be able to work flexibly. The successful applicant will be required to work weekends and bank holidays depending on the business need.
Our core opening hours will be between 08:00am and 5.00pm but there may also be some evening work to support events at the venue (Covid-19 restrictions dependent).
