Call in to see a member of the Housing Options Team as soon as you think that you are at risk of losing your home.

Bring all relevant documents (e.g. proof of ID, tenancy agreement, notice of seeking possession/other legal documents) with you when you come.

If you are not eligible for assistance, there are other agencies who may be able to help.
The Rainbow Centre provide advice and facilities for anyone over the age of 25 who is homeless, in inadequate accommodation or facing eviction.
Foundation Housing provides advice, support and housing for young homeless or vulnerable people.
Foundation Legal will provide free advice on your rights under the terms of the homeless legislation.
Shelter can provide free advice on your rights under the terms of the homeless legislation.
Horton Housing – Scarborough STAY provide a housing related support service for people aged 18 and over who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Scarborough Borough. The main aim of this service is to develop or sustain a person’s capacity to live independently within the community, thus preventing loss of their home or tenancy. This service is part of North Yorkshire Homeless Prevention Service commissioned by North Yorkshire County Council across each of the 7 District/Boroughs.
