Gas Safe Charity grants scheme

On 1 April the single new council for North Yorkshire launched replacing Scarborough Borough Council and other local authorites in North Yorkshire.

This Charity Grants Scheme provides preventative services that directly address the risks of death, injuries and illness caused by dangerous gas work and appliances and the promotion of gas safety awareness.

The following types of essential minor work can be carried out through this scheme.

  • Gas Safety Checks
  • Gas Servicing
  • Gas Boiler Repairs
  • Gas Boiler Combustion Analysis
  • Gas Cookers
  • Fires
  • Gas Pipework
  • Gas Meters
  • Water Heaters

Who's eligible?

  • Home owners who are 60 years old or over and have low household income and / or a disability.
  • Home owners who are 18-59 years old and  have a low household income and / or a disability.
  • Home owners who are considered exceptionally vulnerable by the HIA, an explanation must be provided.
