On 1 April the single new council for North Yorkshire launched replacing Scarborough Borough Council and other local authorites in North Yorkshire.

What we do

We provide high quality legal advice and assistance to members, departments of the council and to our external clients.

Every member of the team has an important part to play in the delivery of legal services to the Council and our success lies in the collective and individual abilities to efficiently deliver a high standard of service. 

PLEASE NOTE: Legal Services are able to provide a legal service to other public bodies and parish councils, for example the service provide legal assistance to North York Moors National Park.  

However, Legal Services cannot provide legal advice to members of the public nor can it recommend particular firms of solicitors.  You may find the following links useful if you are seeking assistance.
