Council Tax payments

There are a few ways you can pay your Council Tax.

Please note that with effect from 3 May 2016 a 1.5% charge will be applied to all payments made by credit card. This is to cover charges made by credit card companies, not the council. This surcharge can be avoided by paying by debit card.

Direct debit

Download a Direct Debit mandate.

Direct Debit provides a secure and easy way to pay your bills. It gives the opportunity to pay on the 1st, 15th or 25th of the month, and to spread your payments over 10 or even 12 months.

By phone

Telephone Payments. Please call the Council's 24 hour Automated Telephone Payments System on free phone number 0800 0830493 and listen to the menu selections, and remember to press * after each section as instructed.

In person

Pay Point logoCash Payments. For customers who prefer to pay with cash, payments can be made at local Post Office or retail outlets where the PayPoint sign is displayed.

 

When you receive your bill displaying the PayPoint barcode you need to take your bill to any Post Office, or retail outlets where you see the PayPoint symbol. To find the nearest outlet, please visit: www.allpay.net/outlets.
