Taxi and private hire vehicles demand

Scarborough Borough Council, as the licensing authority for Scarborough, Whitby and Filey is currently reviewing the demand for taxis and hackney carriages in the borough and are encouraging the public, businesses and members of the taxi and private hire trade to put forward their views.

We are particularly interested in your views about the policy currently limiting the number of hackney carriage vehicle licences.

Please note that the survey is being undertaken by LVSA – a joint trading name of CTS Traffic and Transportation and Vector Transport Consultancy – on behalf of the council and any information you provide will be held by them.  Further information is available at:
