Dog Control Public Space Protection Order Review

Fill in the survey >

What is the consultation about?

The Borough Council’s Dog Warden Service responds to complaints and incidents primarily involving stray dogs. We also undertake enforcement of our public space protection order which details how and where dogs can be exercised. We try and strike a balance between dog owners and people who prefer stricter limits on the exercising of dogs.

To try and achieve this consensus we consult periodically on our restrictions, we fully recognise the importance of dog ownership and try to provide plenty of areas for people to exercise their dogs on and off the lead. We do also understand that some people want to enjoy areas free from the presence of dogs.

By taking part in this survey you can help shape our restrictions for the next three years.
