Conservation Management Plans

The preparation of a Conservation Management Plan (CMP) helps in the understanding of why a Heritage Asset is valued and sets out a framework of policies or guidelines that will assist with the making of decisions about how to look after the heritage whilst ensuring it continues to be used, enjoyed and made accessible. It is of value for the owner, users, anyone interested in the conservation of the Heritage Asset and for architects and developers where considering changes and alterations. It will not only aid the physical conservation of the significant features but will also enable their history etc. to be interpreted and displayed.

Scarborough Market Hall CMP

This CMP was prepared in June 2014 to assist in ongoing maintenance of the Market Hall and in the preparation of Planning and Listed Building Consent Applications for Major Refurbishment of the Market Hall.

Please note, this CMP has not been formally adopted by Scarborough Borough Council.
