The Britain in Bloom competition is run by the Royal Horticultural Society and supported by Yorkshire in Bloom at a regional level.

The In Bloom Campaign

The In Bloom campaign is the biggest horticultural campaign in Europe and every year involves hundreds of communities from tiny villages to large cities. This is a year round campaign about enhancing our local environment for the whole community. Some benefits of the In Bloom campaign are:
 
  • An increase in civic pride
  • Long term improvements to the environment
  • Regeneration of disadvantaged or untidy areas
  • Improving links between community groups
  • A means to address issues such as sustainability, recycling, energy conservation and much more.
