Dredger
Whitby Harbour
operates its own dredging system comprising the 390 tonne DWT barge
‘Sandsend’ and the backhoe excavating pontoon ‘Saltwick’.
The dredging systems primary port is Whitby but it also carries out
dredging activities in Scarborough.
The dredging system is available for hire and interested parties
should contact the Borough Harbour Master at Whitby Harbour
Office.
