Formed in 1999 following the Crime and Disorder Act (1998), the
Safer Communities Partnership is a multi-agency partnership,
comprising statutory and voluntary organisations, and the private
sector, working together to reduce crime and disorder, and improve
safety and the quality of life of those living, working and
visiting the Borough.
