Hurry - Olly Murs tickets almost sold out
Only around 150 tickets
remain to see Olly Murs at Scarborough’s Open Air Theatre – just a
week after they went on sale nationwide.
The X Factor runner-up, whose first solo
single debuted at number one in the charts, will take to the
outdoor theatre stage on Sunday 15 July.
More than 5,325 tickets for his show have
now been sold – the tickets that remain are on sale via
ticketmaster.co.uk.
Olly told the Welcome to Yorkshire local
area office last week: “I can’t wait to get back to Yorkshire and
play in Scarborough – the crowd are always really up for it, it'll
be a brilliant show!”
Welcome to Yorkshire Area Director, Janet
Deacon, said: “It’s a testament to Olly Murs’ popularity that so
many tickets to see him have been sold in such a short space of
time. It will be an amazing atmosphere in the Open Air Theatre and
will bring much wider economic benefits to Scarborough in terms of
hotels and guest houses, restaurants and attractions.
“If people are coming to the Open Air
Theatre this summer and are looking for accommodation, I would also
urge them to consider booking through the Tourism Bureau in
Scarborough. Our team here can help take away much of the leg work
for visitors and find the most suitable accommodation – people can
call (01723) 383636 or log on to discoveryorkshirecoast.com.”
Olly joins American singing legend Dionne
Warwick and boy band stars JLS on this summer’s bill. Warwick,
whose songs include I Say A Little Prayer and the classic
Bacharach/David recording, Walk on By, will perform on Wednesday 6
June, with JLS taking to the stage on Saturday 18 August – tickets
are still available via ticketmaster.
All three acts will be bringing their spectacular full arena
stage shows to the Open Air Theatre and will supported by
high-profile special guest acts, with details of those still to be
announced. More big acts are also being lined up by Scarborough
Borough Council to perform at the Open Air Theatre this
year.
