Open Air Theatre tickets on sale locally
7 March
Following last week’s announcement of three major acts at
Scarborough’s Open Air Theatre this summer, Scarborough Borough
Council is offering local people the opportunity to purchase
tickets for the shows before they go on sale nationwide.
Although tickets go on sale nationally via ticketmaster on
Monday 12 March, Scarborough Borough Council will be selling
approximately 1,000 tickets for each act locally. These will be
available to purchase from the Escape 2 to the Sands office at
Peasholm Gap, North Bay, Scarborough on the following dates between
10am and 4pm, or until tickets sell out:
- Friday 9 March – Dionne Warwick, tickets
priced at £33 each will be available for the concert which will be
held on Wednesday 6 June.
- Saturday 10 March – Olly Murs, tickets at a
cost of £31 each can be purchased for his show on Sunday 15
July.
- Sunday 11 March – JLS, tickets priced at £33
each will be up for grabs for the performance scheduled on Saturday
18 August.
Tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis and as
there are a limited number available people are advised to arrive
early to avoid disappointment. All ticket sales will be limited to
four per person with a nominal booking fee being charged.
David Archer, Strategic Director for Scarborough Borough Council
said:
“The council is pleased to be able to give local people the
first opportunity to purchase tickets in advance of general sale;
this is a fantastic opportunity to get your hands on what are
promised to be sell-out gigs, before the rest of the country.”
For those who are unable to purchase a ticket locally over the
weekend, tickets will go on sale nationally from 9am on Monday 12
March and can be booked online at www.ticketmaster.co.uk or
by telephone, booking and postage fees will be charged.
