Accommodation providers invited to Literature Exchange

Scarborough Spa.30 January

Hoteliers and guest house owners from across the Scarborough and Ryedale districts will be able to find out more about attractions in the area and upcoming events at a special literature exchange and Caterall exhibition at Scarborough Spa.

Running throughout 7 and 8 March, the event, organised by the Welcome to Yorkshire local area office in partnership with the Scarborough Hospitality Association, will feature more than 20 well-known attractions from across the Ryedale and Scarborough areas, along with caterers and food providers.

The exchange will give accommodation providers the chance to pick up leaflets and brochures from some of the area’s top attractions, which they will then be able to keep for information or distribute to their guests; and the Caterall exhibition will allow visitors to source new goods and services in readiness for the forthcoming season.

Welcome to Yorkshire Area Director Janet Deacon said: “This is a great opportunity for hoteliers and guest house owners to talk directly to the people behind some of the area’s best known attractions, as well as pick up leaflets and other handouts to help their guests make the most from their holiday.

“It is the second time the event is being held over two days in Scarborough and we are delighted to be working alongside the Scarborough Hospitality Association which, like Welcome to Yorkshire, works incredibly hard to maintain high standards and promote the coast as a first-class holiday destination.”

Allison Barnes, Secretary of the Scarborough Hospitality Association, who is pulling together the Caterall Exhibition said: “In the past, both of these events were held separately and it seemed more sensible to bring them together so that we could increase footfall by providing the accommodation providers and other hospitality businesses with two reasons to visit the Spa Complex on 7 and 8 March."
