Bin collection FAQ

Will domestic garden waste collections continue over the Christmas period?

During December 2012, and January and February 2013 there will be only ONE collection of garden waste in each of these months. Please refer to your collection calendar to find out when yours will be.

Will the FREE electrical item/s collection continue over the Christmas period?

Yes collections will remain as normal.

Can excess domestic waste be taken over and after Christmas?

A reasonable quantity (maximum of 4 bags) of excess green bin waste will be taken after Christmas. All excess recycling in SBC recycling sacks will be removed.

Is there a restriction on the size of Christmas tree we will take and is there a cut off date for when we will stop taking them?

Christmas trees will be collected on the same day as your garden waste and need to be put out by the side of the bin. No restriction on the size of Christmas tree we will collect, however, we would ask that large trees are cut up.

What are the clinical waste arrangements?

Clinical waste collections will be on the following dates:
