Parliamentary Boundary Review
20 September

Scarborough Borough Council is encouraging people to have their
say on the local Parliamentary constituency boundaries as part of
the Boundary Commission’s Parliamentary Review.
The Boundary Commission for England is the independent public
body that reviews all Parliamentary constituency boundaries in
England every five years. The commission is currently conducting
the 2013 review under new rules laid down in the Parliamentary
Voting System and Constituencies Act 2011 and would like your views
on the initial proposals.
There are various documents including maps of the outline
proposals on deposit in Scarborough’s Town Hall on St Nicholas
Street and at the council’s Customer First offices in Skinner
Street, Whitby and John Street, Filey. The documents are available
for inspection until 5 December 2011.
