Recycling Week competition winner
18 July 2011

The Recycle week was held between 20 and 26 June 2011 and
Scarborough Borough Council were encouraging the borough's
residents to remember to recycle wherever they are, whether at
home, at work or out and about.
Ahead of the borough's digital switchover this summer and to
celebrate Recycle week Scarborough Borough Council in partnership
with RB Markets Ltd were giving away a FREE Freeview recorder
(worth £170) to one resident picked at random who booked an
electrical item collection during recycle week!
The lucky winner was Mrs Hicks of Prince of Wales Terrace,
Scarborough who said:
“I had been meaning to book a collection for a while
for two fridge freezers but hadn’t got round to it, so the
prize draw was an incentive to get it sorted. It was really easy to
book and everyone involved was really nice and helpful. I would
definitely use the service again.
I’m very happy to have won the Freeview recorder it’s a great
prize, and it’s nice to know that my items will be reused or
recycled!”
