Cayton in Bloom are preparing for the visit by Yorkshire in Bloom judges on the morning of Friday 15 July.

The judging route will include the village caravan park, the wildflower meadow and the winning children’s flowerbed as well as floral displays throughout Cayton.

Judges Mr Steve Bumby and Mr Joseph Lee will meet the Mayor and Mayoress of the borough of Scarborough and Chair of Cayton Parish Council.

They will also be shown Killerby Wood by its owner, Simon Green and will meet many members of the Bloom group.

Cayton in Bloom Chair Les Hutchinson said:

“The spring judging went very well and we were pleased with our report. We’ve had a good year and have done as much as we can. We always have a good time showing our achievements to the judges so we’re looking forward to it.”
