The good gardens of Osgodby

The Osbodby in Bloom group have been secretly nominating gardens
from across the village in their new ‘Good Gardens’
competition.
Around 15 people will be awarded certificates this week for the
impact and overall care of their gardens, some of which will be
included in the Yorkshire in Bloom judges’ route taking place on
Friday 15 July.
Secretary of the Friends group, Lynn King, said:
“This is a new initiative for the group and we hope it will
encourage people to get involved. We’ve run a Best Kept Gardens
competition in the past and this is doing things a bit differently.
People will get a nice surprise!
“It’s not competitive and we hope that people will display their
certificates in the window so the judges can see their
involvement.”
