Scarborough Borough Local Development Scheme (LDS)
The Local Development Framework
(LDF) was intended to be a portfolio of Local Development
Documents (LDDs) which included Development Plan Documents
(DPDs), Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs), a Statement of
Community Involvement (SCI), the Local Development Scheme
(LDS) and Annual Monitoring Reports (AMRs). Together
these documents provided the framework for delivering the spatial
planning strategy for a local authority area.
The Council is changing its approach
towards plan preparation in light of Government changes to the
planning system. As a consequence the Council is merging its work
on the Core Strategy and the Community, Environment and Economy DPD
into a 'Local Plan'. You can find a detailed timetable and
work programme below.
The following Committee report
was agreed by Members of Full Council on 26 March 2013.
