Halloween in Falsgrave Park
It’s back!
The Friends of Falsgrave Park 'Halloween Park in the Dark' event is
taking place once again on Friday 31 October from 6.30pm in the
Falsgrave Park Play Area.
This year’s event will be
full of spooky fun including the haunted walk through creepy
Springhill Wood, ghost stories in the stone circle, mummy wrapping,
a freaky pumpkin lantern competition and apple bobbing.
Families are invited to come along dressed up in their scariest
costumes. Refreshments will be on sale including pumpkin soup
with a roll and jacket potato with various fillings.
Before the event on Friday
the Friends will also be running a pumpkin carving workshop on
Thursday 30 October, 6pm till 8pm at Manor Road Nurseries.
Come along and have a go at creating your own eerie pumpkin head
lantern. Admission is £1 and will cover costs for materials,
places are limited so if you wish to attend please contact Helen
Percival of the Parks and Countryside team on 01723 374079 to book
your place. Families are welcome to come along, but children
must be supervised by an adult.
Enter your pumpkin lantern
into the competition at the Halloween Park in the Dark event the
following night and you could win a prize. Judging will take
place at 6.45pm near the play area in the park.
