The period for this consultation has now
ended. The analysis of the consultation is now taking
place and results will be posted on the website
The Old Railway Line runs from Sainsburys in Scarborough through
the North Yorks Moors Coast to Whitby. It is a popular cycle
path, walk way and is used by Horse Riders. The urban
sections are a great way to travel into town off road, and the
countryside sections provide access to stunning coastline.
Scarborough Borough Council are working with a local community
group making a
lottery bid to improve the old railway line from Scarborough to
Whitby. As part of
this bid we need to find out what you think about the line and what
you would like to see improved.
You can complete the online survey using the link
above. If you prefer, you can download a copy of the
survey. A copy of the map is also available for downloading,
you can use this to mark on where you think improvements should be
made. Completed questionnaires and maps should be sent
to: Friends of the Old Railway Line, 12 Barmoor Close,
Scalby, Scarborough, YO13 0RZ.
