Economic information and analysis
The overall aim of the Council's Economic Development unit is to
improve the quality of life for residents in the Borough by
improving job opportunities, increasing levels of employment and
investment and making local communities both safer and more
sustainable.
We work closely with partner agencies to identify the
issues that face both the Borough’s residents and businesses and
use this data to establish programmes that will create job
opportunities and encourage business growth and inward
investment.
The unit works closely with both industry and the community to
create an environment where businesses flourish and people
prosper.
