Local Plan (formerly LDF) Monitoring

The Forward Planning Section carries out comprehensive monitoring of policies and development within the Borough.

Annual Monitoring Report

The Borough Council prepares an Annual Monitoring Report (AMR) detailing progress with plan preparation and the extent to which the policies are being achieved.

In addition to the AMR a housing report is prepared on at least an annual basis.

As housing monitoring is a continual process, discrepancies are sometimes picked up on beyond the initial reporting period. The following housing reports are all correct as of July 2012.

Section 106 Agreements/Planning Obligations

As part of the development process, the Planning Section negotiate Section 106 Agreements on certain planning applications. These agreements are used to ensure the impacts of a development are fully considered in a wider context. This may result in the developer providing on-site affordable housing or public open space or providing a commuted payment to the Council to pay for additional educated requirements as the result of a development, off site, public open space or affordable housing. An annual report is produced to monitor S106 Agreements and these can be viewed below.
