Public Conveniences

Provision of public conveniences. Where these are provided the local authority is also responsible for maintenance and cleaning of the facilities.

The attended toilets in Filey The Public Convenience Service maintains and cleans 44 facilities in strategic locations throughout the Borough and a further 3 facilities are cleaned on behalf of the North York Moors National Park Authority.

Facilities are regularly serviced by a mobile cleaner who follows a scheduled route. This ensures that busy facilities are visited a number of times each day, especially during peak periods.

Scarborough Borough Council provides 6 high standard attended toilets offering a range of facilities including showers, shaver points and baby changing facilities. There is a charge levied for use of these facilities.
