'Money Matters' roadshow in Scarborough
Residents are invited to find out more about the products
and services of North Yorkshire Credit Union at a roadshow event in
the town centre.
It takes place on Wednesday 25 July between
10am and 4pm, with advice on debt worries, money saving tips,
details of savings clubs and much more, on offer. Residents will
also be able to take advantage of the many benefits of opening a
credit union account.
The credit union will be joined by
Yorkshire Coast Homes staff, including its Money Management
Officer, who will be present to offer money matters advice.
Julie Knight, North Yorkshire Credit
Union’s Project Officer for Scarborough said: “We’re a
not-for-profit organisation for people who live in North Yorkshire
offering easy accessible savings accounts and low-cost affordable
loans.
“At this time of year people may be
thinking about starting a Christmas savings account or interested
in finding out more about a low-cost loan for white goods - for
example it costs only £499 for Co-op Electricals to deliver a full
size fridge freezer, washing machine and cooker direct to your
door.
“Don’t be sucked in by high interest, high
street offers, come and see us first.”
There will be free face painting available
for children, plus goodies such as pens and stickers on a
first-come first-served basis.
A further event will also take place later in the summer, on
Wednesday 29 August in Scarborough Town Centre.
