The Peasholm Park Friends group are holding their annual general meeting ‘with a difference’ on Tuesday 24 April, starting from 7pm at Scarborough Bowls Centre.

The Friends are also hosting a fundraising ‘duck drive’ following the annual general meeting to help raise funds for events planned in Peasholm Park during its centenary year. The duck drive, a Peasholm twist on the traditional beetle drive is set to be very entertaining and only £2 to enter with plenty of prizes to be won.

With so much planned during the next few months for Peasholm Park, the Friends are inviting everyone to attend this event, Christine Mark, Chairman of the Friends said:

“We would really love new people to come forward and get involved with the Peasholm Park Friends activities. We hold many events each year including monthly work parties and family fun days. We also have a lot more projects and activities in the pipeline that we would like to develop and organise so we need all the help we can get and can only do this with the support of the community.”
