Russell Watson tickets to go on sale on Good Friday
Following last week’s announcement that self styled “People’s
Tenor”, Russell Watson, will take to the stage of Scarborough’s
Open Air Theatre on Saturday 4 August, we are now in a
position to release information about tickets sales.
Earlier this month, residents local to Scarborough were able to
snap up tickets for Olly Murs, JLS and Dionne Warwick before they
went on general sale nationwide and we have been able to secure the
same arrangement for Russell Watson fans.
More than 2,000 tickets will be available for purchase in person
from the Escape 2 The Sands office at Peasholm Gap, North Bay,
Scarborough, on Friday 6 April from 8am until the tickets sell
out.
The remainder of the tickets will then go on general sale from
9am on Monday 9 April online via www.ticketmaster.co.uk
Tickets will cost £35 each and will be subject to booking and
postage fees as appropriate.
David Archer, Strategic Director said:
"Once again, we are delighted to be able to give local people
the first opportunity to purchase tickets in advance of general
sale. The arrangement proved very popular earlier this month for
the previously announced acts and we are hoping that demand will
also be high for this much loved artist.
"Anyone unable to get to The Sands on Good Friday or not local
to Scarborough, will still have the opportunity to purchase tickets
from 9 April. We particularly encourage any Russell Watson fans
from outside the area to buy tickets and consider extending their
stay to the whole weekend or longer to enjoy the many other
attractions Scarborough has to offer."
Russell Watson is the latest act to be announced for the Open
Air Theatre, joining a stellar line up, which already includes
American singing legend Dionne Warwick (6 June), pop sensation Olly
Murs (15 July) and boy band stars JLS joined by past winner of The
X Factor, Alexandra Burke (18 August).
