Hertford by-election called
7 February
Following the resignation of Nick Harvey last month and two
requests for this vacancy to be filled, an election for the
Hertford ward of Scarborough Borough Council will be held on
Thursday 15 March 2012.
Nominations are now being invited to become a borough councillor
for this ward and packs are available from Electoral Services, Town
Hall, Scarborough, telephone 01723 232309.
Completed nomination papers must be returned to the Returning
Officer, Scarborough Borough Council, Town Hall, St Nicholas
Street, Scarborough, YO11 2HG no later than 12 noon on
Friday 17 February.
The deadline for anyone who is not already registered to vote is
Wednesday 29 February; similarly anyone wishing to
apply for a new postal vote or change their existing postal vote
must also do so by 5:00pm on Wednesday 29
February.
Any new applications to vote by proxy must be received by
Wednesday 7 March.
