Barry Graham, Crime Reduction and Anti-Social Behaviour Co-ordinator for the Safer Community Partnership, said:

“The most important people in reducing crime, the fear of crime and anti-social behaviour within the Borough are local residents.  They are the people who can provide the information to the police or other agencies to stop offenders, ensure prosecutions, and reduce anti-social behaviour by reporting problems at an early stage.”

Anyone requiring Home Risk Assessment by the Fire Brigade should contact Scarborough Fire Station (Tel:  01723 374433) or Whitby Fire Station (Tel:  01947 824080).

Yorkshire Coast Homes and Sanctuary Housing are offering the removal of bulky items, free of charge, to residents on the Eastfield estate, Barrowcliff estate and in Castle ward.  Residents of the housing associations have been advised how they can avail themselves of this service; collections must be pre-booked.
