Community Safety
The crime and disorder reduction strategy addresses key
priorities in relation to crime and disorder, it also provides
information about priorities and initiatives. Reporting tends to be
done locally and the partnerships aggregate and anonymise data to
support decision making.

Safer Communities Partnership
The Safer Communities Partnership is a multi-agency
Partnership with a statutory responsibility to address crime,
disorder and drug misuse in the Borough.
A co-located team of officers from Scarborough Borough Council
(some funded by the Home Office) and North Yorkshire Police has
been established to oversee and co-ordinate the Borough’s Crime,
Disorder and Drug Reduction Strategy. The team is based at the Town
Hall in Scarborough.
